Welcome to The Home of Vigillante

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Bob Keyes, designer and builder of the TriVette three-wheeled vehicle
in the 1970’s and the more recent Vigillante. Few people in the world were as knowledgeable as Bob when it came to three wheelers,
and with his degree in Physics his three wheelers were without a doubt the most stable, best performing three wheelers ever built.

Bob had suffered heart problems over the past year and a half which finally took his life. Bob was always ahead of his time and his
innovation, creative thinking, optimism and humor will be sorely missed.

This site, at least for now, shall serve as a historical reference. It is my hope, that in the future, production of the TriVette II
and the Vigillante will begin again.

I am in the process of putting together a separate site on Bob Keyes and his original TriVettes. I was fortunate to be able to talk
with Bob several times on the phone and then spend a couple of days with him and his wife Diana in June of 2006. He selected several
historical pictures of the TriVette and told me how he designed and produced the vehicles. He also went over the TriVette in detail
giving the sources of the various parts and subsystems. This information should be very useful to anyone who owns one of these - the
information has already been a great help to me. More about this new site soon.

It was a rare privilege to talk to and meet such a smart, creative, and driven man. His enthusiasm about vehicles and life was truly
infectious and I, for one, will truly miss him.

I would be happy to try and answer any questions you might have; please refer to the "CONTACT" information on the main site.

Thanks, LEO
